A: I just got this invitation
from Jenev and Gary. They're having a Bar-B-Q next weekend with
some friends. Would you like to go?
B: I am sorry, but we can't.
We are already going out that evening. We're going to my
parents' for dinner.
A: Oh, of course. But…What
time do your parents expect us?
B: About eight o'clock.
A: Why don't we go see Jenev
and Gary on our way. Just for half an hour. Then we can go on to
your parents.
B: That's a great idea.
